- When you first log in: the first screen you will be at the server select screen. Pick the server that is closest to your country and language. (you can pick global if you'd like to).
- You will then go to a screen that shows some information such as breaking news and high scores. at the top there is tabs that say: Home, Hanger, Trade, Laboratory, Clan, Credits, Quests, and Help. You will probably use Hanger and Quests the most. Also on the screen you will see a button that says "Start" and has a picture of a ship, if you click this then you will open another window and you will load up the game.
- you can simply click on the other window to open it up again (the menu screens). The Hanger is probably the most important tab and contains everything than you can use to upgrade your ship: Lasers, engines, missiles, ammunition, drones, etc.
- One thing that you will need to know about the Hanger is that some of the things that you can purchase can only be bought using Uridium which can be hard to come by in large quantities. These items are called Elite items
- As you go through the the Credits menu you will find that you can choose multiple options that let you buy Uridium. You use real money to do this. You can also upgrade your account which makes your account have slight advantages to it. You can find these advantages on the website.

General beginners informtaion for out of game play (menu screens)
General beginners information about ingame play
- First go and earn some money (credits) which can be earned by destroying enemies in your starting zone.
- Buy as much ammunition for your lasers and missiles as possible early on in the game if you can, because if you do this early you wont need to for a long time. (which actually can be a relatively short amount of time if you use your lasers alot.) and you also save a little bit of credits because you won't have to by any ammunition.
- Know that when your honor goes into the negative it decreases the amount of credits you get from selling raw materials to your space station.
- Know where your teams space station is. (you start there and it is not easy to forget where it is.) It will look like a miniature space station on your mini map. that is either blue, red, or green depending on your company (team)
- Know that there is no best team, if anyone says so then its not recommended you think that you should stay away from that team just because everyone says they are the best team. (however there are teams that are more played than others: making that team dominant over the other two.)
- There are three teams that you can join, the "Mars mining operations" (MMO), Earth (EIC), and "Venus Resources Unlimited" (VRU).
- See a resource called Uridium which can be earned by quests and getting small amounts out of bonus boxes. This resource becomes useful when and if you die because you need this to repair your damaged ship. If you cannot comply with the cost then you will need to buy a different ship or take the starter ship (phoenix) which is free. In order to get a higher quantity of Uri (Uridium) you will need to buy it on the Bigpoint website
- The different sectors are populated with different enemies. Some enemies are harder than others, depending on the sector. For example an easy enemy would be one called a "struner" which is an basic AI unit that is found in the starting sector of each team. A harder enemy would be called "Devolarians" which are giant green enemies that are not easy to defeat and require a group to destroy unless you have a higher weapon class and you deal a lot of damage, but unless you have a group or a good weapon its recommended that you avoid these guys.
